Rihanna’s Anti is a little over a year old, but people are still showing the album’s songs tons of love. “Love On the Brain”, the award-winning album’s fourth single, has been covered by many worldwide, from YouTubers to artists such as Kelly Clarkson and MØ. Little Mix recently uploaded their take on the fan favourite from iHeart Radio’s Honda Stage, and we’re in love.
Little Mix show once again that although they can put on a fiercely choreographed, energetic performance, they can still nail an acoustic cover. The band take a raw, stripped down approach to this cover with just their voices and a guitar. Perrie, Jade, Leigh-Anne, and Jesy’s mesmerizing harmonies work with the guitar to create the soothing yet spectacular performance. The guitar guides the cover, while the group’s harmonies set the scene for each other’s voices to shine. The elements of the cover compliment each other beautifully while still capturing the sentiment behind the original song. Their vocals are strong, yet controlled to compliment and balance one another.
