Rogério Ceni is the highest goal-scoring goalkeeper of all time; he is a Brazilian-Portuguese former goalkeeper born 22 January 1973, who is recognised by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics as the goalkeeper to have scored the most goals, (131 goals) in the history of football.
More so, he scored 14 goals including six free-kicks and eight penalties in Copa Libertadores. He also scored 65 goals that include 26 free kicks, one indirect free-kick and 38 penalties in the Brazilian League.
He scored his record 100th goal in a 2–1 win for São Paulo on 27 March 2011.
Ceni, who had over 1000 appearances for Sao Paulo, was a mean free-kick taker and also took penalties for the team. He scored a record-breaking 47 goals for the Brazilian club in three seasons from 2005-2007.

He was a dead-ball specialist. As said earlier, Ceni was the official taker of free kicks and penalties for São Paulo from 1997 until his retirement, a time period in which he scored 131 goals.
In addition to his accurate set-pieces, prolific goalscoring, distribution, and ability with the ball at his feet, he was also known as an excellent goalkeeper and shot-stopper and stood out for his determination and longevity throughout his career, as he retired with over 40 years of age.
Ceni was known for being capable of producing brilliant saves, such as those in the final of the 2005 FIFA Club World Cup, which saw São Paulo defeat Liverpool 1-0 for his performances. Ceni later won the Golden Ball, which is awarded to the competition’s best player.
